There are literally hundreds of individual uses for a well crafted travel map. As we’ve mentioned before you can use them for everything from mapping your favorite running trails to informing coffee shop patrons where their coffee beans are coming from. The possibilities for personal uses are endless, but a good map can also lend a dash of functional flair to your workplace. Posting a map in your office can add decoration, information, and even increased legitimacy to your business, no matter the field.
A beautifully framed map in an office waiting room not only bolsters the room’s aesthetics; it can also provide a lot of useful information to anyone who finds themselves in your office corridor. Maps are inherently interesting to examine – but toss a bit of your business’s information on one and you’ve got yourself a great piece of branded and custom furnishing.
For instance, if you’re in the business of manufacturing, you can easily present a map of your different locations, headquarters, satellite offices, and your network of facilities across the country and even the world. An international workforce? A map with pins marking your employee’s place of birth or current locations can be a great conversation starter.
What better way to give your troops their marching orders than rolling out the map scroll in the situation room? Having a Push Pin Map marked with information pertinent to your company hanging on the wall can be an outstanding visual aid for logistics.
This is especially true when you can move around old pins or introduce new ones as points of interest change or shift during meetings in your conference room. Is your growing franchise spreading in several different directions at once and you’re trying to get a lay of the land? Sure, you could kill the lights, set up a PowerPoint, and dig around to find the most recently updated franchise map, but with a stationary map that has that information already posted- it’s just a glance away. Also, you get the ceremonious privilege of adding a pin every time a new location opens!
While it’s probably best to keep your ego on a steady diet of humble pie, it can be awfully satisfying to stand, fists on your hips, in front of a map in your office that depicts your growing empire. To avoid feeling too self-congratulatory though, you can still get a tremendous amount of use out of it. You can use it to explain certain points of interest to clients in private meetings or again, have useful geographic business information at the ready. Also, with our attractive earth toned maps you can really class the joint up.
