There’s no shortage of fun in Waikiki! There are plenty of beautiful places in Hawaii, but one of the best areas is Waikiki. Luckily, this post is going to narrow it down to you so that you can mark the best places on your push pin map.
Waikiki has a lot of beaches. Make sure you check out Kuhio Beach, which is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Bonus: There’s a bronze statue of Olympic champ and Hawaii’s very own “father of surfing” Duke Kahanamoku that begs a selfie!
Hawaii is famous for its canoe rides and thankfully, you can experience one or two wave rides at Waikiki Beach. There are a lot of companies which provide canoe rides, so don’t be afraid to look for good rates!
If you are in Waikiki, Fridays are extra special days there. Get treated to a spectacular display of fireworks every Friday night. Make sure you camp at the lagoon that’s present in the Hilton Hawaiian Village for the best view.
What is Hawaii without a hula show? There’s a ceremonial torch lighting and hula show held under the banyan tree at Kuhio three days a week. The best part? They are absolutely free.
An uphill yet adventurous hike at one of the most iconic landmarks in Hawaii? What’s not to like here. This hike only takes 30 minutes to get to the top, and at the top, you get to enjoy a breathtaking view of Waikiki and Honolulu.
